Hiking - Crawfordsville, Indiana

Being out in nature is my happy place. Hiking the trails and ravines recharges my soul like no other. A few weekends ago my family and I visited Crawfordsville, Indiana. I admit that I chose this location based on hoping to find geodes in the Sugar Creek. No luck finding any geodes but I did find a handful of crinoid fossils along with some pretty rocks and part of a turtle shell. I was happy to find a variety of mushrooms flourishing along the trails as well.

Aside from our time exploring the woods we also checked out a couple museums in Crawfordsville. The Lew Wallace Study and the Rotary Jail Museum. Both interesting and rich in history. I highly recommend checking them out if you're out that way.
