This year I did my Veterans Day giveaway early. Normally I like to do the giveaway closer to Veterans Day but by November the temperature can be too cold to shoot outdoors. So this year I decided to do it early. I had a lot of fantastic submissions this year and it was difficult to not choose them all. The winner at random was Michael. His wife, Jessie nominated him. They haven't had any family portraits done in 10 years so I was especially thrilled to have this honor to give back to a family that has already given so much.

After arriving at their home, I was greeted by Michael and his family, their horses, and their pony. I was thrilled they wanted to include their horses in the photos and we found it hysterical that the pony decided he would be in the photos as well!
